MAGNETIC LASHES / LASHIFY REVIEW

You all know I am all about LASHES. I usually wear lash extensions but had to take a break since we are on lockdown. I decided it would be a good time to do a magnetic lashes review and try all of the different options available out there. I spent about 2 weeks testing different brands, styles, etc. and thought I’d do a recap. I wish I had better photos for you all – but I do not. I had to go in and take screenshots from my stories and also screenshot videos where I filmed myself putting them on! That being said, some of the photos have a filter from IG but that does not change the look of the lashes. Actually, it just makes my lips and cheeks bigger and skin smoother, lol! ANYWAY! Here we go..

ARDELL Magnetic Liner & Wispies Lash Kit

Out of them all, I would say these wore the best. Granted, they all were relatively and surprisingly easy. I do not like the magnetic lashes that you put behind and in front of your lashes but I do like the eyeliner technique. This specific kit is a starter kit and you have a ‘pot’ of liner and a little brush and I felt like this was the quickest and easiest option. You do two coats of liner and then the lash literally just pops right on – it is crazy easy and would be hard to do incorrectly. NOW! The down side to this option is that I do not like the starter kit ‘wispy’ look. The are very natural and even after curling and adding mascara they were hard to get to pop. I would recommend buying the kit if you like a natural look – I like a more bold look. If I were to buy these again, I’d buy it separately – and get a more bold & dramatic lash. I also like thicker eye liner – you do not have to do it so thick but it does stick better if you have more eye liner. For those who do not like eye liner, you may not love this option but you can definitely go in with a thinner line than I did. *Sorry for quality of photos – I had to screenshot a video and zoom to crop the eye so I could get a better look.

EYLURE ProMagnetic Magnetic Eyeliner & Faux Mink Volume Lash System

The next style I tried was EYLURE ProMagnetic Magnetic Eyeliner & Faux Mink Volume Lash System & I really like their lash selections. They make basic styles and they make super dramatic styles – and everything in between. The liner with this one is liquid and is also fairly easy to use. I will be honest, I felt like this was a bit more time consuming ONLY because you had to do 3 coats of liner and let it dry in between. So instead of taking a minute- it was more like 7 minutes. Not a big deal but just a bit more time consuming and time is of the essence when you have two babies, lol! I liked these a lot and I loved the style ‘Faux Mink Volume’ that is linked. They have other options in their starter kit which I think is nice. I felt like these were a bit harder to wear because the inner corner kept popping off- this could be because I did not use enough liner. A lot of people DM me telling me that using a lot of liner is the key with some of these. I got impatient so I didn’t do 3 full coats, lol. They stayed well everywhere else and were super easy outside of that. Just the inner corner would pop off! If you look at the photo above you can see how thick the inner corner band of the lash looks on my eye. Not horrible and I probably could have worked harder to make it blend but I’m more into things being quick and easy, lol.

KISS MAGNETIC CROWD PLEASER FAUX MINK LASHES

Last but not least, were KISS MAGNETIC CROWD PLEASER FAUX MINK LASHES and this was similar to the previous one. I love that they have plenty of options as far as styles go and I think the liquid liner was easy! But I also didn’t like having to let the liner dry in between. I did test out a few things and I think that the liners can be mixed with other brand lashes and I also think that the thicker & more dramatic lashes just tend to come loose more quickly. Here is the liner used: KISS MAGNETIC LINER

In general, I think if you are wanting to test out the magnetic liner trend – any of them will be good really. I think if you want super easy and fast, go for Ardell but if you want more options and have a little more time on your hands – you will like the other two brands! ALSO, I wear strip lashes sometimes too and I tried a few and the most beautiful and flattering style is SEPHORA House of Lashes x Sephora Collection Lash Collection [‘Natalia’ is my FAVE and I get lots of questions any time I wear them!].

Other lash products I use on my lashes:

GrandeLASHâ„¢ – MD Lash Enhancing Serum

SEPHORA LASH FUSE AND CURL

SIDE NOTE: The SEPHORA Savings Event is still going on until May 1!

LASHIFY REVIEW

Next up is Lashify. This is very different than magnetic or strips and I heard great things but I did not have the best luck which is probably my fault honestly. So I tried them 4 days and I love them BUT I would lose them when I washed my face and I would also lose more when I woke up! Many others don’t have this issue so I’m sure it is just me. I have heard great things though. This is an at-home lash extension set that is actually relatively easy honestly. I was intimated by it but it took like 5 minutes per eye the first time and they look SOOOOO beautiful. The left is a starter kit set [B] and the right is a set I ordered that are more dramatic. I used tips from readers in my DMs who said to layer and mix and match to get a fuller look. I honestly LOVEEEE the look – I think they are stunning! However, at the rate I was losing them, it would be an expensive habit! Again, it is not super hard to put on once you get used to it but I just could not keep mine on for more than 12 hours. I wash my face at night and would notice several coming out – which could be bc of application. And I do sleep on my face and you are not supposed to – but I do it, lol! And one morning I woke up and my left eye had none attached and my right eye had 3/4 attached! Anyway, if you are more gentle, don’t sleep on your face, don’t touch your lashes or wear a lot of makeup – you will like these!
