BEST CLOSET STAPLE / BASICS OF 2018

I asked you guys what you wanted to see in THIS MEGA ROUND UP POST [these were the top read posts of the year all around the top asked questions!] and you all wanted a lot of ‘BEST OF’ posts from the year! Today I am sharing the best of BASICS or CLOSET STAPLES. AKA – best of leggings, jeans, shoes, etc!

BEST OF LEGGINGS  OF 2018

This one I think I’ve narrowed done and I have some really strong opinions on this, lol!

First of all, my ‘Holy Grail’ leggings since 2015 are THESE. These are the leggings I wear the most OVER ALL. I wear them all year long – to the gym, with sweatshirts, dressed up, dressed down, and PREGNANT. Once I found these I gave all of my $$ Lululemon leggings to my fam bc these are 10x better. They stay black – you can wash them a million times and they don’t fade or pill. I only like the high waist style – it is the only style I wear from this brand. These do not fold over or roll down – and they are not see through – they are extremely flattering. These are $54 – and back in the day when I discovered them and shared them on my blog – I had a ton of readers e-mail me and be like “okay, you were so right – these are better than LL!” – but the best part is that they are half of the price. As far as sizing goes, I wear an XS [I am 4/27 in denim] but when I am pregnant I wear the size small. I keep multiple pair in both sizes bc I do wear them so often. And people ask all of the time my favorite leggings for pregnancy and it’s THESE. I have tried lots of pregnancy leggings – high end and low end none compare. Just make sure you size up if you do have a good sized bump. [SEE POST WEARING THESE HERE.]

Now, the second pair of Holy Grail leggings are THESE. These are insanely flattering. I’m talking – if you want a pair of leggings to wear casually like w/sweaters or just to go out and about and be cute but be sucked in – THIS is the pair. These are $72. I am more than half way into my pregnancy and I’ve got a bump and I still wear these occasionally – although I probably will be storing them away soon. These are similar to the style above but these are more for someone who is focused on being sucked in and held in TIGHT. I wore these to run errands last week [keep in mind I am pretty dang pregnant!] and I had a few people stop me and be like “oh aren’t you pregnant?” and I’m like yes! And they are like “oh I can’t tell, wow” and I told them all my secret! 🙂 THESE LEGGINGS! I was in a hurry when I was leaving so I didn’t pay attention and I just grabbed leggings & a sweatshirt. I put these on and looked in the mirror and I went from looking pregnant to looking not super pregnant at all because these are made to be figure flattering and help with your stomach. Personally, I love having a bump and I looking pregnant so I don’t really care to be sucked in but I just thought this was a good testament to these leggings. These are also old school but my favorite casual faux leather leggings are THESE. I have a few pair of them – I love them because they are cute w/athleisure or dressed up. They are figure flattering and work to target your stomach area. Mine are an XS and do not fit right now.. so I just put them away last week! ? But every winter and fall these are my jam if I want to look stylish or edgy but not have to try super hard. [SEE POST WEARING THESE HERE.]

BEST OF DESIGNER DENIM OF 2018

I have 3 brands of designer denim that I HIGHLY recommend. All 3 of these will WORK for you and you will 100% get what you pay for.. promise!

First are the ‘Instasculpt’ style from DL1961. I have these in a few colors and styles because they are easily the best of the best. I buy my white denim specifically by this brand because they are so amazing. I wear a 26 in these – I am normally a 27 – so I size down. Secondly, I love THIS style from Citizens of Humanity. These are high waisted & very flattering. I go w/my regular size usually. [SEE MY BLACK PAIR STYLED HERE & MY DENIM PAIR STYLED HERE.]

Lastly, my old school favorite jeans are AG in THIS STYLE. I don’t buy them as frequently since I discovered ^^ those two brands. But I do love AG so much! They always work to flatter! 😉

BEST DENIM UNDER $100 OF 2018

Same as last year but I love THIS BRAND of denim SO much and you can get them on sale quite a bit! I probably have 6 pair of these right now and I recently bought a larger size in my favorite style so I can continue wearing while pregnant. 🙂 [SEE THEM STYLED HERE.]

BEST CAMIS / TEES OF 2018

Same as last year… and the year before and the year before, lol! Seriously THESE are amazing! I can’t tell you how many of my friends and even readers have converted! These are the BEST. I wear a small in these when not pregnant! 🙂 [

BEST LOUNGEWEAR OF 2018

BEST WEDGES/SANDALS OF 2018

I did a POST last spring of my FAVORITES and I recommend checking it out! I will do this post again but updated this spring. Last year I wore THESE nude wedges SOOOO much and they are still in stock.
