Hope you all had a great weekend!! I went to OKC on Friday night with two of my besties here in Tulsa to see my friend James Taylor & Luke Pell (from Jojo’s season of Bach) play. We had a BALL! James is a close friend of mine/John from undergrad and its been so fun seeing where his Bachelor ‘journey’ has taken him (if you watch Bachelor you get the journey joke, lol).He’s been playing/writing music since undergrad. Fun fact- he actually wrote a rap song for our social club and it started a huge trend on campus. Anyway, he and Luke put on quite the show and it was such a blast! My sis (she’s 8 years older than me) texted me Saturday upset that I didn’t invite her.. I was like “what I didn’t know you’d wanna go!” And she was like “yes! and I wanna meet Chad!” LOL. Speaking of the devil… Chad. Oh boy, I went into the night thinking that he would be surprise us and actually be a nice guy… but he made sure to keep up his villain appearance. He would call me Kim K or Pregnant Kim K and I would be like “you know that makes me like you, right?” and then he would try to be rude with a smile on his face so I wouldn’t like him. (E.g. you may have seen on Snapchat he asked me if my dress was from Pier One Imports implying it looked like a curtain lol!!) Anyway, that all kind of led me to believe he puts on an act to seem villainous. Any who, just thought I’d report back to you all on The Chad.. 😉 Oh, and I got to meet some blog readers at the show as well and oh my gosh – they were all the prettiest girls, sweetest girls.
On a whole other note… if you live in the south – are you as shocked about everything blooming so early?!?! I mean, check out the trees in the photos. It’s crazy! And I don’t hate it at all. My dad called a couple of weeks ago asking if things were blooming here (He lives 2 hours away in AR) and I was like “Oh yea!! Our back yard is covered in these really cute small, purple flowers!” & my dad was like “Emmy, are you sure they aren’t weeds?!” Sure enough… they are. :/ Ignorance is bliss, I guess.
I ordered this dress a couple of weeks back – so excited because it is a really good quality dress that I’ll be able to wear a ton now and after the babe makes his arrival. I have a few black OTS dresses but they are cheaper quality so they shrink up and fade so I wanted a good one this year that will wash up well and be great for throwing on and going!
