Hope you all had a great weekend! It was really rainy and cold here – but I got to see my nieces play basketball and I got to see my mom so it was perfect. Our resident friends threw a surprise shower Saturday night – and it definitely a surprise! I spent the afternoon watching my nieces play basketball & I have a lot of rib issues to begin with so siting on bleachers for several hours made it 1000x worse. I actually left the games early bc I was feeling so bad and went home to take a nap. John woke me up and said let’s go — and so here I am, drool on my face, mascara all over my eyes, disoriented, etc. walking into my very own (super cute!) shower haha. It was embarrassing to say the least! But I got to see all of our friends which was special. Elle and my mom were both there which was a big shocker. We seriously have the best residency program ever – we all have become so close the past 3 years and have become like family. As much as we dislike residency, it is going to be really sad when it is over and we all go our separate ways. The Internal Medicine program John is in is 3 years long – and the other day it hit me that he has 3 rotations left.. and it feels like we just moved to Tulsa yesterday! I will say I am so excited that our babe will be here in time to attend John’s residency graduation in June – that will be really special. (Speaking of… he needs an outfit for that, lol!)
On another note, I am still wearing a lot of my pre-pregnancy clothing and non-maternity clothing – just in a size up! I’ve always loved oversized sweaters which is coming in handy lately. However, my old jeans DO not fit. I have been buying regular jeans in a size up and using either a belly band or a pony tail holder. I got these jeans in Dallas last weekend and I almost died bc when I saw them I thought they were designer bc they looked expensive. And when I realized they were STS blue I didn’t even try them on! I actually got my regular size bc these are a boyfriend fit so they run a little big. Seriously – highly recommend these jeans – esp for that price point!
