HOLIDAY HOME DECOR // + TIPS FOR OUTDOORS!
So, how is it possible that Christmas is less than a week away… and I am still trying to finish decorating, LOL! We started in early November [inside] and then moved to the back yard and just this last week we were working on the front yard with our holiday home decor. We just got our gates installed after Halloween and I really wanted beautiful wreaths and bows on them but the bows I got just didn’t do the job. Despite having them wired in, they still came loose and fell and just didn’t work so great in the cold + snow + rain. All of that to say, that I was determined to find some amazing bows that worked better for our weather [we also get lots of wind!] and that would pop & make a statement! I ended up finding THESE outdoor nylon bows that are AMAZING. They are the perfect material, come with thick wires that tie on and holes in the bottom two pieces so that you can neatly tie them down and they truly stay put. They are ‘fat’ bows haha – you can’t tell online or in my photos but they are nice and thick and make a much better statement. We also got almost the exact type of bow for the wreaths on the windows – but they are even cuter since they have gold trim and it totally pops! I actually prefer the bow with the gold trim but its 3″ shorter and did not look as good on the 45″ wreaths on the gates. The proportions just were not right. PS. Highly recommend getting THESE suction cup hangers bc they work on windows, mirrors, glass, etc. and come in handy BIG time. We have them in the house too – on a big mirror where I hung a wreath! I will link of the other items you see featured below – all from Home Depot, too! Sidenote, John is super busy with work lately so when he is off I am going to have him help me hide extension cords and stuff- right now they stick out like a sore thumb! 😩👀 [ALSO! While we were out hanging wreaths and adding bows, I brought Luke & Soapie out and we ended up just letting them have Soap’s Christmas present, lol!! I die!!]
Oh, one more thing! The garland we used on my staircase and mantle is the best garland ever- literally. It’s insanely gorgeous. My sister got it all for me and its all from Home Depot, too.
