DRUGSTORE MAKEUP CHIT CHAT
You guys know I looooveeee makeup & I don’t really have much time to watch TV but the one thing I’ve always found relaxing is watching YouTube beauty videos. They are not long so its nice to take a bath and watch a video if I have the time at night. Anyway, I noticed that I always get most excited when I see a favorite beauty guru post her drugstore favorites. There is just something about discovering new affordable makeup that doesn’t cost and arm & a leg! Anyway, I try TONS of drug store products outside of luxury high-end products – I really enjoy both. Recently I’ve found a few drugstore products that I literally use on a daily basis – they are part of my everyday routine! NOW! I actually have several but today I thought I’d share 10 of them and maybe next week I can share the other 10. A few weeks ago I placed an order on Walmart.com & spent like $70 and ended up loving all but one thing — and the best part was that I didn’t have to leave my house. I literally just added it to my cart online on a Thursday night and it arrived at my house by noon on Saturday – I didn’t know that was a thing but it didn’t cost any extra to get it that fast! Had to share in case you are a busy, working mama like me and can’t really get out a ton – it is so nice to be able to order things online and not wait a week! [And I am wearing these products in the photos above – my assistant came by the house and I said something about my makeup and I said “all drugstore!” and she goes “no way!!”]
10 DRUG STORE MUST HAVES [FALL 2019]
#1 MILANI AMORE SATIN MATTE LIP CREME || [Shade ‘Lavish’] Hands down the #1 product of ALL I will mention – just FYI. I am obsessed. I actually DM’d Casey Holmes on IG one day and asked about her sunglasses and we DM about makeup a lot since I always love her recommendations – and she goes “you have to try this lip color!”. I actually went to Walmart’s site right away and added it to my cart. I literally have to FORCE myself not to wear it! It’s amazing and a beautiful nude – I wear it with everything. I also really love a matte, satin lip for fall too! I feel like it just has a warm, fall vibe to it!
#2 MAYBELLINE 24 HOUR FOUNDATION || I have written about this before but I have to shout it out again because it is easily one of my favorite drugstore foundations. It is full coverage and super long wearing. BUT I also recommend THIS one as well.- it is the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte one – it is not as full of coverage but its beautiful and has a nice matte finish.
#3 ELF 16HR CAMO CONCEALER || Okay, I heard a several YouTubers rave about this so I knew it had to be good and it really is – seriously. I feel like I’m a good tester for this because I need coverage under my eyes! Its really is full coverage and long wearing. I am wearing it in the photos above and I actually had horrible allergies and my eyes were watering and you can’t really tell that I had water dripping under my eyes! AND!!! It’s $5!
#4 MAYBELLINE FIT ME LOOSE FINISHING POWDER || This is also $5!! And you guys!!! It is SO good. I feel like powders are hit or miss big time but this one is BOMB! I used it to set the Elf concealer above^ and it seriously just looks beautiful! It looks so smooth and I use it to bake around my contour as well! I highly recommend this – its been a part of my routine for 8+ months!
#5 WET N WILD MEGAGLO LOOSE HIGHLIGHTER || I purchased this several months ago because Amanda Ensing [another YT beauty guru] told me about it and I knew it had to be good! Her makeup is always flawless. Its a loose highlighter and its huge so it lasts FOREVER! *ALSO $5!*
#6 ELF INSTANT BROW LIFT PENCIL || Another product I heard lots of YT’ers raving about and saying was super good! I think its a great dupe for ABH pencils, that is for sure!
#7 FLOWER BEAUTY CONCEALER || Not new to you guys probably bc I have used it for over a year but I really love it SO much!! I always keep one in my vanity because its just a really great formula & wears beautifully.
#8 WET N WILD MEGALAST LIQUID CATSUIT HIGH SHINE LIPSTICK || [Shade ‘Send Nudes’] I have always heard great things about the Catsuit lip products but I had never tried the high shine formula until just a few weeks ago and ITS SO GOOD. If you want a glossy, nude lip color for fall this is it! Its very rich & pigmented but shiny & wears super well!
#9 ELF BAKED HIGHLIGHTER || I am picky about highlighters because cheaper ones tend to emphasize texture but this one is very good! It is $4 – helloooo!! And I love it for the inner eye and brow bone! It can be layered to really pop too!
#10 MILANI MAKE IT DEWY SETTING SPRAY || Oh my gosh! I think I’ve talked about this before but this is so good! My mom stole my first bottle, lol! It is so good if you have dry skin and like a natural, dewy look! Its also 16HR wear – and it is is made to hydrate and illuminate. I feel like I use it most in the fall & winter though because I bake / set foundation with powder and I use this to melt it all together and now look super powdery!
Okay, hopefully this is not overwhelming BUT I do have another most with another 10 or so items!🙈🙈 I seriously was soo excited to put this post together because this is one of my favorite things to try and talk about- ya know?! I’ll link a few more products below:

I know this wasn’t one of the top 10 mentioned, but I just got the elf primer in the photos and I’m so excited to try it out! Would love to also try the baked highlighter and dewy setting spray!

I absolutely love the wet and wild setting SPray! It’s a great ALTERNATIVE To the hIgher end ones! Also in love with your sweater! That shade of Blue looks incredible on you!💙

What lind of makeup mirror do yo have and does It have a light?
Drug store makeup has gotten so much better over thr years. The other day i was in cvs and decided to looK at the makeup and There were multiple aisles and so many choices! Not like back in the day! Lol

I appreciate all the make up drug stores finds so many great options! If i switch my makeup around too much my face DOESN’T like it and will break out. But i love all the lips colors you post! AlSo love the swEater so much!

Emily i cant thank you Enough fOr this post! I bouGht tHe founDation and it is boMb. Ive been buying fenty and its EXPENSIVE so this was a life saver to me. It wears all day and feels so good. I also got the milaNi LIPSTICK and it is a PERFECT dupe for stila in the color Carmello. The powder is also very good and isnt cakey. I aM like you and had very oily skin and i am CURRENTLY taking accutane. It has changeD my face 💯 but now i have to be careful not to look too cakey instead of too oily. Thank you for sharing these afford products! I am going to try out the rest asap
