Happy Sunday! I have not done a Sunday post in ages it seems like! I thought I’d pop in today because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is wrapping up TODAY! If you follow me on social media, you may have seen that we are currently in Carmel Highlands, CA right now. The weather is nice & chilly – it feels [& smells] just like fall and it is so incredibly dreamy here. Neither John nor myself have been here before so it’s been fun exploring it together – and with Luke! The mornings and evenings here are quite chilly and crisp so I packed a lot of sweaters/cardigans/etc.

I was getting ready & threw on this black sweater w/my fave black high waisted jeans and realized most of my outfit is part of the sale so I wanted to get this posted ASAP in case you have any interest in any of this look [while on sale]! First of all, this sweater is one I have not seen anyone wear – which is why I purchased it. The green version is originally what caught my eye to be honest, but I ended up going with the black simply because I was anxious to break in my new Chanel belt I purchased in Boston. 🙂 The sweater is unique because of the beautiful ruffle detailing on the shoulder – but what really makes it stand out is that it has a zipper in between the ruffles so you can detach the sleeves! I literally am laughing as I type this because it reminds me so much of the tear away gym pants from 2000! Any who, my COH jeans are part of the sale too! I got mine last year and I wore them ALL fall and winter and even summer/spring. I love this style SO much – I recently just cut like 1-2 inches off the bottom to give them a more ankle length fit w/the raw hem! I don’t have a specific technique though- something I get asked about often. I just use regular scissors and go for it – they seem to turn out better when I’m not trying to it ‘perfectly’.
