The Perfect Date Night Top! + It’s A Dupe For a $300 Designer Version!!

This top though!! Okay, so first of all – I was in LA in January and stopped by this luxury boutique and saw THIS top – which is almost identical for $300!! I saw another that was similar for around $450. Anyway, just had to share the details on my top since it is a fraction of the price of the designer one ($65). Not to mention, it is really great quality – I had someone stop and ask me who made it thinking it was the designer version. All of that to say, I may love designer handbags and shoes but when it comes to clothing and pieces I don’t think I’ll get my wear out of – I always look for a look-a-like instead. I’d much rather save up for something that I will use/wear more frequently.

I have received a lot of questions regarding my Chanel backpack lately. I actually purchased it  in February when we were in LA working on a project. It was a new arrival and I had not even seen it online yet – but the minute I laid eyes on it I was like “oooooh I wanna try that on!”. I looked back at John (knowing he doesn’t love he backpack look!) and he kind of laughed. I had planned on getting a backpack this spring/summer simply because they are adorable and because they are  easier with a very mobile baby! When the lady handed it over for me to try on, John looked at me and said “you know I don’t like backpacks, but I think that one looks just like you!”. It came in a few other colors and I really loved the black but I felt like the white was ideal for spring and summer. Okay – so sorry for skipping out on yesterdays post!! We traveled home and got so busy/tired. I did do a full Insta-story all about yesterdays outfit and broke down each piece including jewelry! It does expire tonight so make sure you check it out.
