Yikes! Sorry for another OTS (off the shoulder) top… I figure we may as well give it an abbreviation considering how often I am wearing them! Oops! Seriously though, I know I said it once, but they are so nice if you are expecting bc they feel so good but still keep you covered and on trend. Oh and yes I took a break from the wedges… and only bc I LOATHE bending over and buckling my wedges haha. Seriously, it’s so weird – when you stomach starts to get harder and larger, everything becomes more difficult!
I had a few questions about where all we ate in Laguna so I thought I’d share 4 places we ate that we all really loved.. some will be givens though! 🙂 For those asking, we just stayed with my family there!
1. Lemonade
I always eat there when I am in LA – so I was so happy when my cousin Samia told me they had one in Fashion Island. The lemonade there is SO good – but the food is healthy and super tasty. I don’t even really like healthy food but I would eat lunch there every day if we had it in Tulsa! I get this spicy shredded chicken / green bean mix – its amazing. I found an article w/how to re-create it HERE and I am dying to try!
Our first morning in Laguna my cousin took us to the Montage for breakfast and holy COW! It was easily the best meal I’ve had in ages. John got french toast and I got a BLT croissant and Samia got bananas foster waffles – all of which were amazing. John’s french toast was melt in your mouth good! My croissant was also super good – it was bacon, avocado, and tomato and it was not your average BLTA! It was large so I only ate half!
3. Banzai Bowls
I love love love acai bowls as I mentioned Tuesday. My cousin Samia does too – so she insisted we goto Banzai – its right in downtown Laguna. (next to a pizza place that looked SO good!) I had a few people ask where we got them so I just thought I’d include this!!
4. Din Tai Fung
So I am not usually one who gets crazy or adventurous w/food – I am mainly a kids meal eating type of gal! (Chicken fingers, grilled chicken, etc.) However, my cousin Jamie was like “you HAVE to eat here!” and I was like “oooooohhkay. :/ “. But she was totally right – it was 11am when we got there and there was already a line! It started as a dumpling and noodle restaurant – and both were SO delicious. I was eating food that I never thought I’d even try but it was all so good. She said there’s always a line btw – it is in Southcoast Plaza!
Okay! That’s it… it is 9am and I seriously craving that shredded chicken/green bean dish from Lemonade now! Ahhh!
So, I’M not sure at all if I’m leaving this comment in the correct place, buuuutttt, I just have to say that I am about 12 hours away from la and my mouth is watering over that shredded chicken/green been mix. I’m definitely trying the recipe you have linked! Thank you! ?
