I am finally sharing the most requested thing today.. a makeup routine – on video! Quite the feat for me, considering I am not comfortable on video cameras, at all! Nor am I good at filming/lighting/editing – Fitz was in and out of the room and we knocked over a coffee during this. I’m just asking that you look past the crazy facial expressions.. :/ Keep in mind, I have pretty oily, scarred skin so it isn’t easy to cover up the flaws, so this routine is for those who have challenging skin – and who need a good long wear routine!
All of the products I use are listed below in the order I used them..
Moisturizer (not seen)
Primers: Smashbox / Angel Veil
Mac “Shroom” / Sigma E60 Brush
Eyeliner: Sigma’s “Wicked” / Sigma E05
Usually use THIS eyeliner though
Concealers: MUFE Extreme Camoflauge / ProLong Wear in ‘NC20’
Eye Brighteners: Bare Minerals ‘Well Rested” / SmashBox BB Cream Eyes in “Fair”
Setting Powders: Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder **MUST HAVE** / Estee Lauder Double Matte Oil Control
Bronzers: MUFE ProFusion Gel / Mac’s “Matte Bronze” (I prefer the Mac one.) / ITA BRUSH / Bronzing Brush
L’Oreal Primer (I use THIS serum to keep my eyelashes growing thick) / Dior Mascara ‘Lash Extension’
Setting Spray (not seen in video)
I absolutely love this post! You say you're not good on camera, but I think you're amazing! I loved seeing the products you use, and your makeup routine is actually so much simpler than I thought given how flawless it always looks. Saw your snap. I can't believe you stayed up that late to edit! Great job.

Beautiful! I love Diorshow mascara, but I'm allergic to it now 🙁 Thanks for sharing your makeup routine!
Loved! You did a great job too!! I really want to try that Dior mascara and that Laura Mercier setting powder. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope that you are having a great week so far! 🙂
Can you tell me where the gold cups are from that you store your make-up brushes in? I am looking for something similar.
Love your video tutorials! You do a great job of explaining and making it look easy! 🙂

I thought it was a great video and I love the roundup of products you use! You're so right about the L'Oreal primer- I remember loving that but stopped using because I just hated the actual mascara. Out of curiosity, how long does it typically take you to go through this full routine?
What a great video Emily! We use a lot of the same products! EL Double Wear and BB camel are the best! I'm excited to see what your next video will be! <3

You look so pretty in the beginning of the video without any makeup or hair extensions in. You should rock the au natural look some more. You look amazing fresh faced!
Thank you for sharing!! You did a wonderful job!!!! 🙂
Thanks for sharing!!! You did a wonderful job!!! 🙂
I agree with Christopher! Emily, you're young, your skin is vibrant and I don't see any hyperpigmentation or acne scars, you have beautiful, fair skin. You're naturally very pretty and you actually look younger without all of the makeup.
LOVED the video! 🙂 I'm not a make up artist either, but I love experimenting which leads me to my question! Do you ever take pictures at night? I was wondering if you get a dreadful white cast using any of these products?
I loved this video, and I think your facial expressions make your video more real and more relatable. I mean who doesn´t make weird faces when they put on mascara?
Loved the tip about the scotch tape!

Loveee it! Sorry my other comment didn't show. Anyways, love this video!! you should do more! I have that Bobbi Brown shade too. So pretty!
I'm new to your blog and I absolutely love it! Fan for sure 🙂 Thanks for sharing your beauty routine and products. I also have super oily skin, breakouts (31yrs old, no shame!) and live in humid Houston. I use Becca Ever Matte Poreless and it is hands down the best primer I have used for my oily skin. You only need to use a small amount, a little goes a long way. You will notice if you used too much as it starts to dry. I recommend watching the Becca review/tutorial to get the details.
Loved the video, you should do more!

Love the video!
Also, I see absolutely no acne scars, hyperpigmentation, etc. – God blessed with such natural beauty!!! I hope you'll be able to see the beauty that God blessed you with, but I think we are all guilty of "nitpicking" ourselves sometimes 🙂 But you are so beautiful without any makeup!!!!!
I appreciate your sharing the video and all the product info. I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy a beauty blender 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing your makeup routine! Our skin woes are incredibly similar, as I too have struggled with incredibly oily skin and acne for my entire teen and adult life. People keep saying the oil will go away, but when exactly is that?!? Like you I have never exposed my face to the sun, and tried spray tanning it but it was an acne disaster. My face completion on my face is ghost like compared to the rest of my body. I've struggled trying to match foundations to the rest of my body throughout the year as my tan comes and goes. Seeing your technique of lighter foundation and matching complexion primarily through the use of bronzer is amazing helpful. I know sharing a makeup routine is deeply personal, so thank you!
Thank you for sharing! Our skin similarities are wild. I too have struggled with acne most of my life, makeup became my best friend at a young age. I use similar techniques but a more expedited process so j can not get up an extra hour early just for makeup application.. Haha. (Working on those dark circles!) like you I have never really exposed my face to the sun. When I was younger because I was self conscious, now it's just habit. My face is SO pale and in no way matches the rest of my body. I'm excited to see you use a lighter foundation and use bronzer for matching to the rest of your body. Extremely helpful! I've been asked to share my makeup routine and I know how terribly personal that request is. Sending a sincere thank you your way!
Random Question? How did you get a pump on your Estee Lauder?? Mine never comes with one?
Thank you for this video! Very helpful!! Love dior show, Benefit bad gal is another great one.
Simply adore you! I probably have a good 10 yrs if not more on you but beauty as no age. 😉
You are gorg without makeup!! Love the tutorial though. I am terrible at doing my own makeup….I have no concept on how to do it so this was great for me! And the lash serum….NEED that!! THANK yoU!

If you buy the Mac pump, it fits perfectly on the Estée Lauder foundation. A trick told to me by a Sephora employee. 🙂
What's the color and brand of your nail polish, looks pink or lavender. Is very pretty.
