Laid Back July 4th Outfit

I own way too many white tees, John jokes about my collection and how ridiculous it is. I love a great white tee and these Madewell ones are a favorite of mine. Since John has a crazy schedule we won’t be doing a lot for the holiday weekend so I will for sure be sporting red, white, & blue in a casual, laid-back way.  The red flats I am wearing above were a lucky find it seemed like… they are a dupe for these Aquazurra flats that I had been eyeing for awhile which are $675. We are supposed to be getting storms over the weekend so I may have to wear my favorite rain boots!

Over the weekend, John had Saturday off which was really nice. One his days off, I really don’t spend much time getting ready since I try to soak up as much time w/him as I can so I decided to wear double fishtails braids, which lasted a good 10 minutes and the wind took them out. (Just in case you are wondering why my hair looks like a hot mess.) I’m rambling about everything this morning.. but I also had to share this- I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time yesterday. Friday night at the resident get-together, all of the girls were telling me that they only get their eyebrows threaded so Sunday a group of us went. For some reason I pictured this to take like an hour and cost like $50.. instead it took like 2 minutes and cost $8! I was fascinated because it turned out so well and went by so quickly, I’ll definitely do it again. Have any of you tried it?

  7. Such a fun outfit, I love it with the lace-up flats, but even more with the wellies! You could be off to an English Festival in the countryside haha 🙂

  10. I remember the first time I ever got my eyebrows threaded for my wedding. My eyebrows have a good natural shape so I'd never done anything to them before. But I was pressured to get them done for the big day. I was also thankful that it lasted so quickly and for me it was £2 where I used to live. The pain was prickly but I haven't had the courage to go back loool.

  17. So 1) I thought your hair looked amazing and was so inspired that you tired something new because now i'm inspired! and 2) I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and isnt it amazing!? Everyone needs to jump on this bandwagon immediately!

    And also LOVE getting my brows threaded. I'm actually the opposite of most people where I've never gotten them waxed, only threaded! I'm still amazed by the skill it must take to learn how to do that.

  26. Love this look! I ordered the Topshop flats but I'm a little nervous about the sizing. I heard they run a bit large and should probably be sized down. Did you have that experience or are they pretty true to size?

  31. I've never had my eyebrows threaded! I've heard so many good things but it makes me nervous. I normally go to the Benefit Bar.
    Also love that tee! I am def headed out to buy it!

  42. Wind blown or not I'm obsessing over your hair in this post!! I wish I could fishtail braid!! Also, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on eyebrow threading. I've heard a lot of good things and I really need to make the switch from waxing! My eyebrows are always so red and irritated after I get them waxed!
