Jamaican Sunshine..

As much as I loved my time in Jamaica, I am always happy to come home. The weather in Montego Bay was incredible – the water was beautiful and the sun was shining. It was a nice break from the ice/snow storms that have been hitting the midwest. I only wish Fitz could travel with me – he is pretty tough to part with. Thank goodness for Snapchat – John sent me a zillion of them while I was gone! 

On Sunday night John and I drove into Arkansas to watch my brother’s (HS coach) basketball team in the quarter finals. My dad was a coach growing up and he was incredible – his team always went to State and won state. So as a little girl, I loved March because it meant checking out of school a lot to travel with his team. Anyway, prior to this game, I’d been told it wouldn’t be a close game – but within the first half, I realized that was wrong. It was an incredibly close game and it was really exciting. I ended up almost losing my voice & left with the balls of my feet aching from stomping. I felt like a whole other person – I had forgotten what it was like to cheer a team on like that. My brother’s team ended up taking a shot to get ahead by one point w/four seconds left if that tells you anything- they did win! It was fun, that’s for sure. But today I am heading back to watch the next game – this one is actually supposed to be pretty tough so we will see. I’m not wearing any rings to this game because those get in the way of clapping – :).
